a realization
it dawned on me when telling people "I'm almost done with the studio" that I'm lying. It's the old recording adage: "you never finish a record -- you just stop working on it" [or, alternately, and perhaps equally apropos here, "you run out of money."].
A better description of the end of each phase of construction here is that I now feel okay about bringing someone into the room to record, whereas I wouldn't feel quite as good doing that when there were, say, no walls. Or drywall dust all over the room. Or fiberglass...uh...fibers.
But that's done--it's mopped and most of the furniture is even back in place. Have a look-see. The colors don't come in quite right since I'm not a pro photographer, but it's a nice place to be. The cats seem to like it, too.
